THIS COULD NOT BE MORE TRUE. THERE’S ALWAYS A GOOD EXCUSE TO GO TO PARIS.
THE ROMANTIC STREETS, THE BEAUTIFULL ARCHITECTURE, THE LITTLE BISTROS,
THE FASHION, THE BOURGHS, THE EIFFELL TOWER... THERE’S AN OVERALL
ATMOSPHERE TO PARIS THAT JUST MAKES YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THE CITY.
I’VE BEEN TO PARIS 5 TIMES NOW, I GUESS I CAN SAY I KNOW IT WELL ENOUGH.
I WOULD RECOMMEND AT LEAST A 1 WEEK TRIP TO GET THE FEELING AND
EXPERIENCE ALL OF PARIS. TO ORGANIZE MY DAYS I USUALY TAKE A CITY MAP
(GOOGLE IT) AND THEN SORT OUT THE PROXIMITY OF THE PLACES I WANT TO GO.
IT’S ALSO HANDY TO STUDY A MAP IN ADVANCE, TO HAVE A PERCEPTION OF THE
CITY AND, ONCE THERE, KNOW MY WAY AROUND.

THIS IS MY GUIDE TO THE CITY OF PARIS, BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE WHILST
THERE.

THE THINGS TO DO, THE PLACES TO GO

OF COURSE, THE FIRST TO BE MENTIONED. A TRIP TO PARIS IS NEVER COMPLETE WITHOUT A VISIT TO
THE EIFFELL TOWER. BOTH BY DAY OR BY NIGHT, IT IS WONDERFULL TO EXPERIENCE THE AMAZINGLY
WIDE VIEW. GETTING UP THE TOWER IS AN EXPERIENCE ITSELF.

THIS AREA IS SUCH A JOY TO WALK AROUND. IT’S A SHORT WALK ALSO. ONCE HERE, YOU KNOW
YOU’RE IN PARIS. THE TRUE PARISIEN BEAUTIFUL ARCHITECHTURE. PLACE DE LA BASTILLE IS HOME
TO THE RITZ HOTEL, ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC HOTELS IN PARIS. MAYBE IN THE WAY, STOP BY A CÁFE
AND HAVE A HOT DRINK AND CAKE.

TO ME, THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFULL BRIDGE IN PARIS. IT’S ONE CROSS AWAY FROM LES INVALIDE, IT’S
WORTH ADMIRING.

 V I S I T  T H E  L O U V R E

I’VE ONLY BEEN THERE ONCE AND I CAN ASSURE YOU, IT’S A WORLD ON THERE. DISPLAYS SOME OF
THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS PIECES. YOU’LL NEED AN ENTIRE MORNING TO GET A DECENT LOOK AT
THE MUSEUM. WHEN OUT OF THE LOUVRE, WALK THROUGH THE TUILERIES GARDENS. IF YOU’RE
FELLING BRAVE ENOUGH, WALK TO THE CHAMPS ELYSEES. IT’S A STRAIT LINE FROM THERE. I’VE DONE IT.

 W A L K  L E S  C H A M P S  E L Y S E E S

A MUST. WALK THE ENTIRE AVENUE, ABSORBING IT’S BEAUTY. MAKE A QUICK STOP AT LADURÉE, RIGHT
ON THE AVENUE, AND BUY SOME MACARONS.

 W I N D OW  S H O P  A T  A V E N U E  M O N T A I G N E

EVERY DESIGNER AND HIGH FASHION STORE IS LOCATED ON THIS STREET. CHANEL, DIOR, VALENTINO,
LOUIS VUITTON, FENDI, YOU NAME IT.

 L U N C H  A T  C Á F E  L E S  D E U X  M A G O T S

AN ICONIC CAFÉ RIGHT IN THE HEART OF ST GERMAIN, A NEIGHBORHOOD KNOWN FOR ITS BISTROS AND
CAFES. YOU CAN CHOOSE BETWEEN LES DEUX MAGTOTS AND CAFÉ DE FLORE, THEY BOTH HAVE SUCH A
GREAT PARISIEN FEELING. THEY ALSO COME A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE THOUGH.  FROM THERE, TAKE A
LITTLE WALK TO LES TROIS MARCHES DE CATHERINE B, A VINTAGE DESIGNER PIECES SHOP NEAR BY AND
WORTH VISITING.

 V I S I T   N O T R E   D A M E

AN ICONIC CATHEDRAL. YOU MUST GO UP TO TAKE A LOVELY SIGH AT PARIS AND TO SEE THE
GARGOYLES ON THE ROOF FROM UP CLOSE.

 G E T  A  L O C K  A T  A  P A R I S I E N  B R I D G E

IT USED TO BE IN ONLY ONE BRIDGE, BUT NOW IT HAS TAKEN OVER THE PARIS BRIDGES. YOU CAN GO
TO PONT DES ARTS OR PONT DE L’ARCHEVECHE AND OBSERVE THE IMENSITY OF LOCKERS DISPLAYED
ON THE RAILS, AND MAYBE LOCK ONE YOURSELF. IT HOLDS ONE OF MINE FOR 2 AND A HALF YEARS
NOW.

 G O  O N  A  B O A T  R I D E  T H R O U G H T  T H E  S E N A  R I V E R

THERE’S NO GETTING AROUND IT. IT’S THE MOST ROMANTIC THING YOU CAN DO IN PARIS. YOU GET A VIEW AT ALL THE
BEAUTIFUL BRIDGES AND OVERALL PARIS, CULMINATING WITH AN EXUBERANT VIEW OVER THE EIFFELL TOWER. I
SPECIALLY LIKE TO TAKE A SUNSET RIDE.

 S T R O L L  A R O U N D  G A L E R I E S  L A F A Y E T T E

AN IMENSE DEPARTMENT STORE, HOLDING AN EXTENSE RANGE OF PRODUCTS AND BRANDS. IF NOT TO SHOP, IT’S STILL
WORTH VISITING TO ADMIRE IT’S RICH ARCHITECHTURE. IT CAN BE QUITE AN EXAUSTING STOLL. GO UP TO THE TOP
FLUOR, SIT A BIT AND HAVE A CUP OF TEA WHILE ADMIRING THE STREETS OF PARIS THROUGTH THE GALERIES WINDOWS.

PERSONALY I DON’T USUALLY VISIT GARDENS WHEN VISITING A CITY. I KIND OF FEEL LIKE IT’S A
WASTE OF TIME RELAXING IN A GREEN SPACE WHEN I COULD BE EXPLORING THE CITY ITSELF. THIS IS
TRUE EVERYWHERE. EXCEPT HERE, IN THE LUXEMBOURG GARDENS. IT FEELS LIKE STOLLING THOUGH
A PALACE AND IT’S BEAUTIFUL GARDENS. A MUST GO FOR SURE.

ONLY MY FAVORITES BOURGHS ARE MENTIONED HERE.

LE MARAIS

I LOVE THIS NEIGHBORHOOD. IF YOU LIKE THE VINTAGE PART OF THE CITIES LIKE I DO, THIS IS A MUST
STOP POINT. FILLED WITH LITTLE PATISSERIES AND 2ND HAND SHOPS. IDEAL TO GO GET BREAKFAST
AND THEN STROLL AROUND THE BOURGH’S STREETS AND VINTAGE SHOP.

A LIST OF SOME OF MY FAVORITE SHOPS:

QUARTIER LATIN

THE BOHEMIAN BOURGH. IT IS KNOWN FOR ITS LIVELY ATMOSPHERE AND MANY ETHNIC BISTROS.
EVERYTIME I VISIT PARIS, I MAKE SURE I GO TO QUARTIER LATIN HAVE DINNER AND WALK AROUND
THE STREET FULL OF LIGHT, MUSIC AND PEOPLE, WHILST EATING A CRÊPE NUTELA.

MONTMARTRE

PROBABLY MY FAVORITE OF ALL THE BOURGHS. THE ARTISTS AND PHILOSOPHERS BOURGH. I TAKE AT
LEAST ONE DAY TO WALK THE STREETS OF MONTMARTRE. THERE’S ONLY SO MUCH TO SEE. MY
ITINERARY USUALY BEGINS BY CLIMBING UP THE STAIRS AT SACRE COEUR, VISIT THE BEAUTIFUL
BASILICA. THEN GET LOST ON THE STREETS FULL OF STREET ART, LITTLE SHOPS, ACCORDIONISTS
PLAYING, THE TRUE PARIS ENVIRONMENT. AT LAST, START GOING DOWN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
TOWARDS PIGGALE, WHERE MOULIN ROUGE IS LOCATED.

 V I S I T  T H E  V E R S A I L L E S  P A L A C E

HOME TO MARIE ANTOINETTE. I GUESS I NEED SAY NO MORE. IF YOU HAVE THE TIME, YOU MUST GO TO
VERSAILLE. IT’S 30/40 MINUTES OUTSIDE PARIS, BUT SO WORTH IT. THERE ARE ORGANIZED BUSES AND
GUIDED TOURS TO VERSAILLES. IT’S THE PLACE TO ADMIRE AMAZING LUXURIOUS ARCHITECHTURE,
AND TO EXPLORE THE SUPERBLY EXTENCE GARDENS. MESMERIZING. BEEN THERE ONLY ONCE AND I SO
WANNA GO BACK.

(ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHY BELONGS TO ME)
